Global Ocean Cleanup

June 8-16

In partnership with Oceanic Society, participate in the 2024 Global Ocean Cleanup campaign and join the millions of people worldwide taking action to fight ocean plastic pollution.

Register a group event or sign up on your own. Be sure to share your efforts with us on social media by using #globaloceancleanup.

Photography Contest

Deadline: Check Back Next Year

Due to funding limitations, there will not be a Photography Contest in 2025.

Calling all photographers—we are looking for your best photos of sea turtles in their nature habitats.

If you have amazing photographs of Loggerhead, Green/Black, Hawksbill, Olive Ridley, Kemp’s Ridley, Flatback or Leatherback sea turtles, submit your images today!

This year’s prize categories will include one judge’s choice for a professional photographer and one judge’s choice for an amateur photographer, as well as one audience choice voted on by the public.

Children’s Art Contest

Deadline: Check Back Next Year

Due to funding limitations, there will not be a Children’s Art Contest in 2025.

Children ages 4-18 years old are encouraged to enter their best sea turtle art for the second annual Sea Turtle Week Children’s Art Contest.

This year’s theme is the Help Save Sea Turtles. One winning entry will be chosen per age category: Elementary School (4-10 years old), Middle School (11-14 years old), and High School (15-18 years old). Artwork should be two dimensional (drawing, painting, charcoal, etc.).
