JUNE 8TH - WORLD OCEAN DAY

World Ocean Day is a global day of ocean celebration and collaboration for a better future. The World Ocean Day site serves as a central coordinating platform, with free resources and ideas for everyone – no matter where you live – to help expand the reach and impact of World Ocean Day on June 8th and year-round.

The focus of World Ocean Day 2023 is growing support for the global movement to protect at least 30% of our blue planet by 2030 (”30x30”), an action that would help to protect the ocean, climate, and biodiversity. As world governments prepare to gather at the Convention on Biodiversity COP15 Summit in 2021, add your signature in support of the 30x30 movement here.

The website has an event planning guide as well as free resources to help you plan and promote a successful and meaningful ocean celebration. Social media resources in multiple languages can be found here. Make sure to list your event to promote and share your celebration with the world on the event map!
